Biography

Jessica Youngblood Kirkpatrick joined Lane & Waterman in 2022.  Her practice focuses primarily on transactional law, including estate planning, probate, and trust administration, as well as real estate, corporate and limited liability company formation and governance, and general business matters. Prior to joining Lane & Waterman, Jessica was an associate attorney at a boutique law firm in Southern California, where she counseled and assisted clients with every aspect of estate planning, wealth management, probate, and trust administration.

Jessica is a member of the American Bar Association, California Lawyers Association, Illinois State Bar Association, Iowa State Bar Association, Rock Island County Bar Association, Scott County Bar Association, and the Quad City Estate Planning Council. Currently, she serves on the Two Rivers YMCA Board of Directors and Lead(H)er Governance Committee. Jessica participates in Lane & Waterman’s pro bono programs and initiatives and has previously volunteered with various legal aid organizations, including Public Counsel’s Guardianship Clinic in Los Angeles.

Jessica graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in Political Science in 2003. After gaining valuable experience working in legal aid and policy for almost 5 years, she attended the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law, where she received her J.D. in 2011.

Jessica is admitted to practice in California, Illinois, and Iowa.
