David Waterman Joins the YMCA of the Iowa Mississippi Valley Board of Trustees
With a family history of serving the Quad Cities, David Waterman is pleased to join the YMCA of the Iowa Mississippi Valley Board of Trustees. As a fifth-generation attorney in his family to practice law at Lane & Waterman, David has seen firsthand how actively engaging with his community makes a difference. David continues this family tradition by joining the YMCA Board of Trustees in addition to serving on the Quad City Symphony Board of Trustees.
“In 2020, I returned to my hometown of Davenport, Iowa, after serving as a federal prosecutor for more than four years in Tampa, Florida. I am delighted about the opportunity through my service on the YMCA Board to give back to the community where I was born and raised,” said David. “I also look forward to following in the footsteps of former and current members of Lane & Waterman, who have served on the YMCA Board, including my uncle, Justice Tom Waterman, and Attorney Ed Carroll.”
“We are honored to have David continue his family history of volunteer leadership to our local YMCA,” said YMCA President and CEO Brad Martell. “David will help us continue to increase service to children, students, families, and seniors for generations to come.”
The YMCA of the Iowa Mississippi Valley Board of Trustees seeks to strengthen their community through nurturing the potential of every child and teen, improving the community’s health and well-being, and giving back by providing support to everyone in the community.
