Kathryn M. Cox

Biography

Kathryn M. Cox re-joined Lane & Waterman as an Of Counsel Registered Patent Attorney in 2018 after previously working here from 2008 to 2011. Kate focuses primarily on intellectual property, including matters concerning patents, trademarks, copyrights, franchising and intellectual property licensing.

She is licensed before the United States Patent & Trademark Office and in Iowa.  Over the years, Kate has provided presentations on the various aspects of intellectual property law.

Kate received her B.S. in Biochemistry with honors from Washington State University, her Ph.D. in Biochemistry from The University of Missouri, and her J.D., with distinction, from The University of Iowa.  She has been practicing law since 2003.  She resides in West Branch with her family.
