Waterman and Patterson successfully defend cardiologists in professional malpractice action
Bob Waterman and Ben Patterson successfully defended two cardiologists and their practice group in a professional malpractice action in which the plaintiff alleged that a failure to timely diagnose and treat a complication following a cardiac catheterization procedure resulted in the patient’s death. The plaintiff sought $3 million in damages. The week-long trial ended with the Scott County jury returning a unanimous verdict finding the cardiologists were not liable.
