Scott Van Vooren Serves as Panelist for Business Bar Leaders Conference
Scott Van Vooren, Iowa State Bar Association Business Law Section Council Chair, served as a panelist at the American Bar Association 2017 Business Bar Leaders Conference on Friday, May 19 in Chicago. The panel, “Innovative Projects of State and Local Bars” focused on unique endeavors of bar associations from across the United States. Projects included provision of school supplies to children in an urban elementary school, a publication of a guide to state business law for non-lawyer entrepreneurs and managers, an “externship” program for law students, and a publication of a Business Law Manual for Iowa attorneys. The latter is the Iowa State Bar Association Business Law Section Council’s project. The ISBA Business Law Manual is authored and edited by attorneys from across the state of Iowa, set for completion later this year.
At Lane & Waterman, Scott focuses on transactional and business matters, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate and limited liability company formation and governance, commercial real estate transactions, and general corporate and contractual matters.
