Benjamin Patterson and Jenny Juehring successfully defend local hospital
Ben Patterson and Jenny Juehring successfully defended an OB/GYN physician and local hospital in a medical malpractice lawsuit in which the plaintiff alleged the physician was negligent in leaving behind a retained object during a surgical procedure, causing injuries. The plaintiff sought $1.6 million in damages at trial. The 9-day trial ended with the Scott County jury returning a unanimous verdict finding the physician and hospital were not negligent.
Benjamin J. Patterson joined Lane & Waterman in 2006 and practices in the Litigation & Appeals group, focusing primarily on medical malpractice, professional malpractice, commercial litigation, construction law, product liability and mass torts.
