Lane & Waterman attorneys Andrea Mason and Bob Waterman won a motion to quash subpoena for our large insurance company client headquartered in Davenport, Iowa. The case involved a subpoena sent to our client, a non-party to the litigation, requiring our client to produce numerous documents relating to insurance coverage in Oklahoma. Andrea and Bob filed a motion to quash the third-party subpoena, citing the burden on our client to produce the documentation and a number of deficiencies relating to the subpoena. The court ruled in favor of our client, stating the subpoena was too vague, unduly burdensome, overbroad, and irrelevant to the case.
