Lane & Waterman attorney Troy Howell recently defended a cable company in a property damage lawsuit filed in Henry County, Iowa by a former customer.  The former customer alleged the cable company’s technicians caused a water leak during a cable upgrade installation resulting in both structural and personal property damage.  The six-person jury returned a unanimous verdict in favor of the cable company awarding the former customer and his wife nothing.  The case was unique in that the jurors were allowed to and did ask numerous questions of the trial witnesses.
