Abbey C. Furlong and Samuel J. Skorepa have become partners of the law firm of Lane & Waterman LLP. Lane & Waterman was established as Davison & True in 1854.  It has grown to a general practice law firm with 43 lawyers with offices in Davenport and Moline.

Abbey Furlong received her Juris Doctor in 2010 from the University of Iowa College of Law.  She received her Bachelor of Arts, with distinction, in English, Spanish, and International Studies in 2007 from the University of Iowa.

Abbey is admitted to practice law in Iowa and Illinois and practices primarily in the areas of professional malpractice, employment law and products liability.  She is a member of the Scott County, Rock Island County, Iowa State, Illinois State and American Bar Associations and the Defense Research Institute. Abbey serves on the Board of Directors for the Child Abuse Council and Davenport Family Homes and is Chair of the Scott County Bar Association’s Barrister’s Ball Committee.

Sam Skorepa received his Juris Doctor, Cum Laude, in 2010 from Creighton University School of Law.  He received his Bachelor of Business Administration, with distinction, in Finance, in 2007 from the University of Iowa.

Sam is admitted to practice law in Iowa and Illinois and focuses primarily on estate planning, probate and trust administration and real estate matters, while also advising corporations and non-profits.  He is a member of the Scott County, Rock Island County, Iowa State, Illinois State and American Bar Associations, and the Quad City Estate Planning Council. Sam serves as Secretary on the Board of Directors for the Center for Alcohol and Drug Services, is a United Way Young Leader and Tax Preparer for the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program.
