Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals rules in favor of Lane & Waterman client
On August 21, 2015, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit entered its decision in favor of Lane & Waterman’s client, an Iowa business suing a Chinese multinational corporation for breach of contract. The Eighth Circuit reversed a district court’s dismissal of the suit on jurisdictional grounds and remanded the case for further proceedings. Lane & Waterman Partners, Bob Waterman and Doug Lindstrom, represent this Iowa client. Previously, Bob Waterman presented oral arguments for this appeal before the Eighth Circuit in a special session held at the University of Iowa College of Law on March 24. The oral arguments were presented to Chief Judge William Riley and Judges Steven Colloton and Jane Kelly. The audience included law students and professors at the law school. Judge Colloton authored the August 21 decision.
