Celebrating our Alma Maters: Creighton University School of Law
In our third installment of “Celebrating our Alma Maters,” we feature a couple of the firm’s attorneys who graduated from Creighton University School of Law.
“From my first day at Creighton University, I knew I made the right decision. I could not have asked for anything more from my Creighton education – Creighton offered me the opportunity to obtain both my law degree and MBA in 3 years rather than many traditional 4-year dual degree programs at the time. I believe my education provided me with practical experience and the underlying skill sets to practice law upon graduation and not merely understand the theory of law.” – Diane Puthoff, ‘01
“Creighton law faculty take pride in maintaining an open-door policy for students and make it a point to engage with students outside of the classroom. This was a tremendous benefit to me since many of the professors were successful lawyers prior to becoming Creighton faculty. Because of this, I was able to hear firsthand their successes and failures, as well as some “tricks of the trade.” Each professor pushed me to be a better student and ultimately a better attorney. I developed great friendships with some of my professors at Creighton, even ended up taking a couple of trips skiing and hiking 14ers in Colorado.” – Sam Skorepa, ‘10
